Having access to this life-saving equipment ensures that our community is better prepared to swiftly respond to critical situations. Immediate access to a defibrillator can be the difference between life and death.

Gwennap Parish Council has four Public Access Defibrillation units (PADs/AEDs) around the parish.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest can occur at anytime, anywhere and at any age.
Survival is dependent upon time to treat as well as treatment being available.
Public Access Defibrillators are located in public places accessible in an emergency and can be used without any training by following the voice instructions given by the machine.
They are located at:
- Gwennap Parish Rooms, Richard Jory Playing Field
- The Cornish Arms, Frogpool
- Crofthandy Village Hall
- Gwennap Church Hall, Gwennap Village.
